Functions of the components:

Curcumin is an ingredient of the curcuma root or turmeric with potent antioxidant properties. It supports mitochondrial metabolism.

L-carnitin is also, in addition to its function as a fatty acid carrier, a mitochondrial cleanser. It is able to remove metabolites from mitochondria and to inhibit the accumulation of straining compounds. L-carnitin’s function as fatty acid carrier is of particular importance for energy production in the myocardial muscle and for its pumping ability.

Quercetin is a potent antioxidant and a natural vitamin booster.  Grape seed extract contains OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanid) which maintains elasticity and natural function of the vascular walls.

Citrus bioflavonoids are substances extracted from citrus fruit protecting vitamin C from degradation, increasing its availability in the body and helping to stabilise the vasculature. 

Vita Curcumin Plus also contains small amounts of: blueberries, cassis (blackcurrant), grenade, all having antioxidant properties; the medicinal plants maitake, shiitake and reishi, containing substances that strengthen the immune system; and the antioxidant carotenoids (a group of bioactive substances that are phytonutrients) beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene and zeaxanthin.
